“In search of good design” – the Red Dot Design Award is one of the world’s largest design competitions. The Red Dot Label has become established internationally as one of the most sought-after marks of quality for good design. In order to appraise the diversity in this field in a professional manner, the Red Dot Design Award breaks down into three disciplines. Competitions for each of these disciplines are held once everyyear.

The Kitchen Innovation Award, which was conceived as a way to be awarded by consumers, reflects our goal to introduce consumer-friendly products by identifying consumer needs and promoting product innovation based on these needs. The Kitchen Innovation Award empowers consumers and business buyers to make clear and objective decisions. The Kitchen Innovation Award is awarded once a year to outstanding products in the kitchen and catering productrange.

It has been held in Hanover, Germany since 1953. Products in 10 fields, including home appliances, computers, lighting fixtures, and pharmaceuticals, arereviewed.
