Homemade Tofu Recipe

There are a few steps involved in making homemade tofu and it does require a bit of planning ahead (especially since you have to soak the soybeans for 24 hours). However, the steps are very simple and can be broken down into sections so this recipe is very easy to do.

Just a note before we start, you need to soak the beans at least 24 hours before you need them.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups soybeans
  • Water
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • 2 tbsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Soak 2 cups of soybeans in water for 8 hours.
  2. Add 1:1/2 soy beans: water
  3. Make soy water by adding kale and carrots separately.
  4. When it starts to boil, pour in cold water.
  5. Reduce heat to medium, then stir.
  6. Add coagulant.
  7. Cover the pan, wait 15 minutes.
  8. Place a heavy weight on top for 15 minutes.
