Is This Juicer Cold Press?

All Kuvings slow juicers are cold press because they do not produce heat. Instead of using a hydraulic press, Kuvings uses a heavy auger that gently crushes and presses ingredients without excessive heat.

Why Are They Called Masticating Juicers?

“Masticate” means to chew , and that’s how the Kuvings Slow Juicer works!

Masticating juicers crush and press ingredients to extract juice, much like we chew our food. Unlike centrifugal juicers that use rotating blades and generate heat, masticating juicers maintain maximum nutrient content. The result? Fresher, healthier, and more nutritious juice!

Does Juicing Remove the Fiber in Fruits & Vegetables?

Fruits and vegetables contain two types of fiber:

🔹 Soluble Fiber – Found in juice, helps lower cholesterol and control blood sugar levels.
🔹 Insoluble Fiber – Found in dregs, functions to add volume to stool to facilitate digestion.

Both are essential for your body, but juicing allows you to absorb a lot of soluble fiber without the excess satiety of insoluble fiber . In other words, juicing is a convenient way to get optimal nutrition easily!

Is There a Recipe Book?

All juicers come with a recipe book to help you create healthy and delicious drinks at home.

Is the Juicer Loud?

Slow juicers are also known as "silent juicers" because their motors rotate more slowly, making less noise than traditional high-speed juicers. While not completely silent, our juicers are much quieter than high-speed juicers and blenders.

If juice leaks from the juicer cover channel during the juicing process

Juice may leak if the pulp container is not installed properly. Make sure the pulp container is locked properly in place to avoid leakage.

Safety locking arms are not locked

Check that all parts are perfectly aligned before locking the lock lever. The parts will only fit if they are installed according to the instructions in the manual. Do not force the lock lever closed if the parts are not aligned.

There is still a lot of water in the juice dregs

When juicing, combine low-fiber foods (such as carrots) with high-fiber foods (such as kale) to reduce the moisture content of the pulp and increase the amount of juice produced.

Too little juice produced

All produce is different, with freshness often determining the amount of juice you’ll get. To extract more juice from refrigerated produce, soak it in clean water. When juicing, combine low-fiber foods (like carrots) with high-fiber foods (like kale) to reduce the moisture content of the pulp and increase the amount of juice. Check that the silicone press is properly attached. Also, chop tough produce into smaller pieces.

The juicer vibrates violently

Stop the juicer and reassemble the juicer properly. Make sure especially that the juice strainer is properly installed and that no parts are damaged.

Ingredients

Can I make nut milk with my juicer?

Yes, you can make a variety of nut milks with all of our vertical slow juicers. Soak the nuts overnight. Juice them in a juicer with a ratio of 1 part soaked nuts to 1 part water. You can make almond, soy, cashew, and rolled oat milks using this method.

Can I make oat milk with my juicer?

Yes, but make sure to use rolled oats. Check out our Rich & Creamy Oat Milk recipe and video for instructions!

Can your juicers process fruits and vegetables with seeds?

Soft seeds—like those found in apples, oranges, melons, and lemons—are safe to juice. Hard seeds and pits—like those found in cherries, peaches, and plums—can damage your juicer and should be discarded. If you’re making a seed milk, like pumpkin seed milk, you’ll need to soak the seeds overnight before juicing.

If I juice a whole apple, will I get cyanide poisoning from the seeds?

No. You would need to grind and eat over 200 apple seeds very finely to get cyanide poisoning. Plus, the seeds would be thrown out with the pulp.

What should I do with the juice pulp?

There are so many great ways to reuse juice pulp. You can make veggie burgers, cookies, dog treats, bread, muffins, and more.
